Kynes, there is a password for the TS server - it's here: http://www.tacticalgamer.com/showthread.php?t=27109
JohnGalt, we'll wait until 9:05 then we'll have to start. Hope you can make it![volun]

Just sayin thanks again for the lesson. Definetly learned ALOT and it was fun.
I'm guna brag here for a second =).... I stuck my first landing ever...which aparently is hard to do...I really had no idea what to expect, this being my first "real" flight with a sim.
I'm up for some practice flights with anyone more or less anytime if they want to. Look forward to seein you all in the sky. =)

Really glad you enjoyed it. It's good fun, and it just gets better as you learn more stuff. When you fly a proper combat flight successfully with other players, it is SO worth the effort of learning!
I still can't believe EinSof stuck his first landing EVER in a flight sim of any kind. And Kynes survived his, too, with damaged gear. We got us some aces in the making?[volun]

Re: Training Flight, Thurs. Sept. 1, 9:00 PM EST
Hello all,
I am totally new to this I have just found the forum and it looks really useful. I really want to get into this new version of Falcon 4, I had the old version a long time ago but I was rubbish at the game and didn't have the internet or a manual or anything so I couldn't get any help to learn to fly. If I remember rightly the game was almost impossible to play!
Anyway I have read the post regarding training flights and the like and would really like to get involved the problem is I can't find anyone who is going to be stocking the game in the UK. Where have you all got copies from? I have seen a few on ebay but want to get a proper version of the game. I guess I will have to wait or order online somewhere.
I would also like to know what the procedure is for getting some online training, is there a set time and day like the one mentioned in this thread? Do you need to be invited? Is it worth doing (it must be the game is so hard) and what is the minimum skill level required (if any) and how do you get hold of the software that allows you to talk to eachother?
As I say I don't even have the game yet and will be moving house and hence getting internet back up and running may take a week or 2 but I just thought I would ask now to save time later. I can't wait to get the game and any help from anyone would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Bam

Teamspeak can be downloaded at http://www.goteamspeak.com. In the upper right hand corner of the main page there is an area called Quick Downloads. Click TS2 Client under the Windows heading. The server is only needed if you want to host your own server. Both are free to download and use.
As for how to get it, just check out various online stores if you can't get it locally. Some will ship outside of the US. "Falcon 4.0: Allied Force" is what you are looking for. I noticed some sites listed it as "Gold Edition" and some did not, but from reading the product discriptions and looking at the box photos, I don't think there are two different versions. I thought maybe it was the "Featuring New Operations Theater: The Balkans" but all listings had this whether it listed it as Gold Edition or not. I just got it a week ago myself so can anyone confirm this?

Re: Training Flight, Thurs. Sept. 1, 9:00 PM EST
Thanks for the help guys.
762 Thanks for the offer but I think I will wait another week I found out last night that the official UK release date isn't until Friday, I'm sure I will be able to get it then and shipping it from you to me would probably cost a lot. If I can't get it in a week then I will let you know because I am getting desperate. Thanks again for the offer.
I am downloading teamspeak as I type this so thanks for your help with that one dread.
As soon as I have the game I will be looking for some training and the information you guys have given me should really help. Thanks USN_Squid for the links. I have been looking at some of the tutorials and it seems there is an endless amount to learn. I can't wait to get some flying time under my belt.
Thanks again all.
