When to do the Next Flight?

Since ya'll bailed on me last time (I was on, flew two sorties by my lonesome) when do you want to get together to fly again? I'll let everyone else propose times, I thought maybe just picking would ram rod something through but it's been several weeks and I've only had two multiplayer flights!

Well, if you're willing to help a pilot out (cause I don't know how to start the aircraft, let alone use weaponry), I'll fly sometime.

I have 2 relatively good joysticks. One is a CH Products and Falcon does not hold the configurations for. It would prefer I had peddles and a throttle stick which isnít going to happen. The other the throttle slider isnít working properly. From what Iíve read it can probably be salvage if I take it apart, clean the contacts and re-lube with ďSuper LubeĒ. ďSuper LubeĒ I guess is available in most hardware stores except those where I live. However I believe Home Depot has it so if I can remember the next time Iím around one Iíll look into it. With these issues Iím pretty much OOC at this time with Falcon.

Zap, have you tried testing the slider in windows to be sure it's a hardware and not a software problem? F4BMS has some funky settings for joystick axis, for example, it treats my throttle like a slider and my slider like buttons.

I can do this. Just pick a time and I'll meet up with you on Teamspeak and get you slotted.

Well, I'm on the end of a maintenance check (I'm an aircraft mechanic) so there's a lot of hours to be put in, so here in a couple of days the plane should be leaving and I'll have a few days off. I'll let you know when I'm free.

Re: When to do the Next Flight?

Hey Sharpe, I'm off tomorrow and not 100% sure on what days after that. Sorry it's such short notice, but whatever time would work for you flight time wise I'd love to get some training in. Maybe just some ground school stuff on starting up and getting airborne (flying won't be too hard for me, I've got plenty of experience on DCS and Lock On titles).

Sorry I missed this, wrapping up a project at work and the rest of my life has been one big Charlie Foxtrot lately. (Plus the weather finally got nice and my little ratlings here at home needed to be set free in the sunshine for a bit). Please let me know when you're available again and I'll make this a priority - nothing thrills me happier then getting some F4 time.

Hey, it's all cool. I'm usually available during the nights from 1800-2100 CST. If you have xfire or steam, you can find me there: mangeface for both.

Re: When to do the Next Flight?

So I'm able to start the F-16, get all of the ground work out of the way. Only problem is when I call the tower to get the radar altitude I get no response. I call ground to remove chalks, I get no response. Any ideas on what it could be?

Here's the video I watched to learn the start up procedure, and pretty much follow it step by step: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7puLh6iobCo

    (Chocks, btw!)

So there's another guy here - Zap, I think - who was dealing with the same issue. It has to do with how you load the data cartridge. What you want to do is set the tower frequency in the menu BEFORE you launch the mission, and then in the mission load in the DTC and the system should pick up the frequency.

Haha, didn't even realize I spelt it wrong. I should go haze myself being a former Marine aircraft mechanic.

Anyways, I'll check that out the next time I fly it.
