Re: New Pilots sign in here

Hi Weltkrieg, and welcome to Tactical Gamer.
Orientation flights aren't really scheduled. You need to PM a instructor and settle a date. Training sessions are to be launched quite soon as I can recall.

I'm sure you will learn alot here and that you will enjoy the multiplayer flights if you encourage a high realism setting.

Find you O'flight instructor in this post: Training and Orienteering flights

Mainwhile you can use the forum for your questions too - don't be afraid to ask, we're all glad to help!

See you soon!

Hi Bman, welcome to the TG forums.
As you might have read, you are going to need an O'flight. Send a PM to an O'flight instructor to settle an apointment. You can find them here.

Cya soon.

Re: New Pilots sign in here

"o'flight" stands for ?

what ever it is I'll fly it.

The only thing I have up to this point is the "must read" for tactical gamers.

Re: New Pilots sign in here

Bman: An O'Flight is an orientation flight. This is something you do together with an instructor. Click on this link to book a flight.

Teamster, welcome! After struggling through the training missions you will be ready to learn it the way it should i guess

It's just like driving lessons. During your lessons you learn how everything works, and once you get your license you learn how to drive.. (making any sense here? lol)

Don't be afraid to ask questions on the forum.

Welcome to the the new guys!

Don't sweat the o-flight, it's strictly a procedural thing and it's almost all done "on the ground." Training is an on-going process. We can help you with that, and you can also jump into the campaign with both feet and "learn on the job!"

Re: New Pilots sign in here

OK, I flew a lot of falcon 3, and a bunch of different ww2 sims, and I've logged quite a lot of hours in fmsfs 95-04. So, basic piloting I've got down. I'd like to get into falcon 4 since I've been on TG playing BF2 for a while now, and I'm looking at gettin into some of the other games So, how much do I need to learn for falcon 4 v falcon 3?

Re: New Pilots sign in here

Hello all! New to this site, and new to Falcon, so I thought I'd say hi. I'm an avid gamer, and I've been looking for a quality combat sim for such a long time. All the novalogic games are dull and waaaay too easy. Flight Unlimited 3 has been my only outlet, but threading-the-needle through downtown Seattle is only interesting for so long.

I'm currently traveling, so for the next 3 weeks or so I wont be able to play, let alone install Falcon AF. I bought it today, and thought I'd just get a little into the community ahead of time. I fully recognize that the moment I sit down for a flight, I'll just smash into the ground, but I am quite confident in my abilities to learn, and I know I have flying abilities (both sims and real-world).

I intend to have the flight model realism at full strength from the get-go, and to learn to fly this jet without missing a single element. I bought this sim for a challenge, and I expect one!

Once I get this sim up and running, plan on me showing up for regular co-op missions (one of the main reasons I bought this).

Re: New Pilots sign in here

Hey all, found this site looking for a way to get online, and you all looked professional and, well, mature. I'm 17, and I've been around falcon for... oh lord... 9 years starting with Falcon3. Do the math, i was barely old enough to walk when i started on it. I've been a contributing member of the SP/BMS community, the FreeFalcon community, all that jazz. I'm a good pilot, but i've never been online with Falcon before, so i really dont know how exactly good i am. I can tell you that i prefer air to air over air to ground. And I wish I had saved all my logbook hours, but i'm sure it was somewhere up near 150-200... maybe more, who knows. I love realism and complexity and immersion, and i can work the viper fairly well. i also play lomac, but it's a bit heavy on my PC. :P

i'd love to fly online, but i don't have a mic at the moment... still, that's why I'm here, i just want to fly Falcon with humans.

god bless the falconeers.
