Is the Allied Force an upgrade or the stand alone game?

Yes, Allied Force is the stand-alone game. The original Falcon4 from Microprose was patched, enhanced, and redone several times by a number of different developer groups. So over the years various groups of flyers were flying variants of the original Microprose software. Perhaps you've heard of SP3/4 or BMS or whatever. Which patch combo is/was the best to fly always stirs up some wonderful debate.

Lead Pusuit released Falcon4: Allied Force as a retail version. The software is at its core still the original Microprose software but with a tremendous amount of improvements. This version is much more stable than all the other patched versions, especially when it comes to online play.

DAMNIT!!!!! I just won a Falcon 4.0 on ebay in prisitine condition...with everything. I looked at Allied force the other day an thought it was an upgrade. BOOHOO. I paid 20, I new it was a little too high, but I wanted it in good condition. Great.

Well, maybe you can get some of it back. Go to Frugalsworld.com and the Falcon4 forums. Someone there may pick it up.

Free Falcon was friggin awesome.. If anyone hasnt tried it, it rules. It was a little buggy like the rest of them but the changes well outweighed the minor fubars.

The Free Falcon clouds were the SHI*T!
