    Re: Question about the X-52

Ivan thanks for letting me know about the large dead zone on your x45 hopefully with the x-52 though that is fixed or at least made smaller, if it isn't I am sure I can find someone at the college I am going to go to this summer who knows a little bit about electronics tinkering and could replace some of the parts with more sensitive ones and possibly a stronger spring if I feel that I need it.

Wolf I will take you up on that offer when I get the chance. I have always been interested in teh Cougars, but right now they are to much money and in the past I have had really shoddy joysticks come from thrustmaster.

As for the Sidewinder 3D yes that was a great joystick, great control all around and everything. To bad Micro$haft decided that it didn't need to include gameport drivers for it in XP, otherwise I would have that plugged into my system currently. For all the bad things that we like to say about microsoft they do make good hardware, especially there joysticks. I have one of the strategic commanders and that is fun to play with in RTS games, if I can remeber what buttons do what I normally kick my friends asses.

My dad once described trying to fly an RC helicopter as trying to balance a ball bearing on a sheet of glass. Did he describe it accurately?

On a thread related note I've refrained from mentioning a CH based system simply because of the cost. For me it's been a very adaptable set of components that can be programmed to do almost anything imaginable.
