Effect of Friendly Fire on Logbook
Hey everyone,
I thought you might be interested in how friendly fire effects the logbook (more specifically then "It's bad for it."): Tonight I was flying a BAI with Doc and Kilo. On the way back, I diverted to intercept a mig29 engaged with an F16-52. Although I was fairly sure the ship I had locked was the Mig, the missle found it's way to the F16 and, as expected, I was courtmarshalled for friendly fire. As luck would have it though, I had checked my score before the flight and was able to compare it with my score afterwards. What I found was very interesting: Friendly fire incidents do NOT negatively effect your CORE score. Instead, they effect your adjusted score only. That is the good news. The bad news is that the damage done to the adjusted score is heinously detrimental. Here are the before and afters (aproximate from memory): "In Good Standing" Fuzzy: Total Score: 235 Total Adjusted Score: 365 "Looking at 5 to 10 in a military prison" Fuzzy: Total Score: 249 Total Adjusted Score: 253 (Yes, it really was a 100+ point drop). Good Times! Fuzzy

Re: Effect of Friendly Fire on Logbook
Well i believe the Total Score is for your overall (pilot)rating. The total adjusted is for your rank.
Indeed a big drop. A friendly ground kill is way less. stevie |

Re: Effect of Friendly Fire on Logbook
I killed three Ground troups during a mission. That was a 100 point drop. :/
I asked AWACS to declare and they called bogie. This was before I knew a bogie was an unknown. I have since recovered and for the first time in ten (10) - yes ten - years, I have been promoted to 1st Lt. I am bound and determined to finish the original Korean Campaign, and move on to the Balkans. I'm so glad LP picked up the ball and can't wait to see what they come up with next! Mike |

Re: Effect of Friendly Fire on Logbook
Here's a few more bad ones.
Wingmen lost = -5 points Crash Undamaged = -25 points Eject Undamaged = -50 points Friendly Killed = If Friendlies killed = 1 -100 points for each friendly killed in the current mission. If Friendlies killed = 2 - 200 points for each friendly killed in the current mission. If Friendlies killed = 2 or more than two friendlies killed in the current mission Total Score reset to 0 + demoted to 2nd. Lt. and the sim locks you out for a year. Just kidding on the last bit, he he he ![]() |
