Ok, i don't know why i haven't tried this way earlier.
If i understand correctly, the above patches are 'in' OpenFalcon.
Insert (original) f4 disc - install game. Run Installer from Openfalcon and game on!
AlliedForce looks like a arcade shooter compared to this!
(if this is old news pardon me, but i'm stunned)

I tried to re-install Falcon 4 the other day and it wouldn't even start the install. It said it was started but it just hung for an hour before I quit it. Anyone got any ideas?

Beatsme kdittyr, you tried installing from the original cd right? Disable some antivirus programs you may have running when installing?

OF is not officially released but leaked and posted on some torrent sites.
However, i really think it wasn't leaked but they call it 'leaked' because of the EULA of FalconAF.

Hmmm... I hadn't tried disabling my antivirus, but I had tried disabling my firewall. Yes it is the CD version with 1.0.8.

Some quick pics:
The pit is the 3d one. (Everything works as the 2d)
kdittyr, you don't need to patch up Falcon after installation. Just run the installer from OF and you're set. I haven't had a single crash / ctd yet.

It isn't that the patch won't install, it is that the original game (from the CD) won't. I used to have it on my computer, but when I reinstalled my OS (like I do from time to time) it hasn't allowed me to install it. I am going to try again when I get home, tonight.

original falcon.
But you only need to install f4 from the original cd and run the installer which comes with OF. It installs ALL required patches automatically.
Trust me guys, you don't want to go back after you've tried it. I just LOVE the comms. The radio's really work. If, for instance i enter a certain frequeny and you are also tuned to it, i can talk (not chat, but talk) on comm 1 by pressing and holding the F1 key (default). For comm2 i press the F2 key.
It's very realistic and sounds very cool.
Downside: Alot of the avionics work like it does in the real viper, so stuff you know right now might be done different.

I tried it last night and it made me aware of one thing: I need a new computer pretty badly. Other than that, it was pretty cool. The explosions are incredible, though the differences in game controls are noticeable a I am used to F4AF, now.

Would any one know were the Open Falcon site went, did they get shut down? I would love to take a look at this and does any one a bit torrent site and name of file.
