    The next BATTLEFIELD

EA has recently sent out short notice invites to gamers in California to participate in a 'by invite only' playtest and first look at the newest Battlefield game in development.

The testing will be done in 4 2-hour blocks this weekend (12/15-12/16) and next weekend (12/22 -12/23) with the manditory NDA form signed.

So...anyone get the happy red e-mail with your invite want to spill the beans without violating the NDA?

This is probably just for Battlefield: Bad Company, which is a console game, thus not important.

i actually have conformation that this is in fact bad company. I know someone in the private beta. Supposedly BF3 is being announced in January, but you never know with EA.

Is this based on the "leaked promo sheet" or something else? If its the former then it is probably BS.

    Re: The next BATTLEFIELD

Over the course of the 50 minute play test on the 360 with BF:Bad Company, the game crashed 12 times. I couldn't help myself. When asked how I liked the game I laughed.

    Re: The next BATTLEFIELD

Its a common practice to allow pre-orders on titles that are not available. That is not an official release date or even a remote hint about a release date.

There were plenty of possibilities to pre-order Duke Nukem Forever about 10 years ago!
