FarCry multiplayer mods?
Any good ones out there? I rather like the game engine and, before HL2 came out, thought it had a lot of promise for mods...

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
Having just bought FarCry this week (yep, that's me, on the bleeding edge!), I eagerly await the answer to Cing's question.

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
This (well, and vanilla FarCry Capture the Flag) is the only multiplayer mod that I found: http://farcry.filefront.com/file/Jur...Park_Mod;35472
Although I also found a StarWars total conversion that the developers are going to release for FarCry and HL2 at the same time: http://www.jeditimeline.com/A/content.php?content.30Become a supporting member!

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
I have been spoiled by HL's abundant completed mods.
I want my mod NOW, dammit! :P

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
Ruggbutt over at Ghostrecon.net has been working on a tactical modification to Far Cry called Obsidian Edge. He has recreated many of the original GR maps (except now you can jump over objects and stuff) and has kept the tactical feel of Ghost Recon.
The mod has been getting rave reviews from the beta testers so far. Maybe this will be what you're looking for..
Slick video teaser here
Official mod site is HERE

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
Hmmm, looks somewhat promising. Are you playing this mod? Do you know if the gameplay is similar to GR?

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
No. I don't even own FarCry.
I just know that alot of former GR players have had alot of good things to say about the progress of this mod.
Maybe you could sign up to beta test to get an advanced look at the mod...

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
If I only had the time.... I'm actually going to start beta testing something else pretty soon and am in the middle of beta testing Valve's CounterStrike:Source (along with everyone else...). I barely find time to even load up FarCry anymore, but if some TG members got together to play this mod, I'd be on it like Oprah on a canned ham.

Re: FarCry multiplayer mods?
This Mod is called Obsidian Edge, and I have been one of the beta testers for about 2 months. I have put down playing all other FPS, since the gameplay, graphics, and all out experience of this Mod is so awsome. Ruggbutt, Soroc, Xtentialate, SlackJaw, Suli, of the Dev Team, Polishing Weevils, have created a hats off job. My apology to any of the Dev Team thay I may have left out. Go to the website, register, apply for beta testing, and join in with what GR2 should have been. http://www.obsidianedge.com/
