NeverWinter Nights

For any who have the game or want to get it I am starting up a small group to play on evening a week, as a break from fps games. all you need at this point is first NwN(no expantions) and the CEP download available through nwn sight. if you are interested let me know we have about 5-6 ppl now.

I'm interested. I have to get a copy, but that looks manageable.

We will have to keep an Eye on that Shanster... his evil ways may get him into trouble with my Dad. (He likes Palidins) :P

Re: NeverWinter Nights

Ok I found 5 mods that should span about 6 weeks if we play one day a week. Starting a level 1 and working up. Players will not need to D/L the mods they should be server side. The "Book of Fallen Eight" is a 3 module set starting with level 1 players. The we will move to the 2 " Crystal Towers" modules Which are more complicated. When we get going we'll look for more mods but these should take a lil while to do.

Whee! Got my copy sooner than I expected. Nice little borrow from a buddy whose not playing anymore. Dayum, but I do like to have a full game to demo before deciding if it's good enough to pay for. And I must say... so far, pretty sweeeeeeet!

Hrm. You have piqued my rural interest. Did you have a day/time already in mind?

Re: NeverWinter Nights

I'm not sure how I missed this thread. But I am definitely interested. I even have a server available we can run this puppy on. I'll have to dust off my copy of NWN though! :-)

Re: NeverWinter Nights

I found my CDs buried in a box and found the manual with CD key stuffed in a corner. So it looks like I'll be good to go! Downloading the NWN dedicated server to the new community server now..

(psst.. new community server you say?? announcement coming soon)

Re: NeverWinter Nights

I always wanted to get into this game, but finding a group of people to play with.... well.... I'm about the only role-player in my currrent friends group. For TG, I will go buy this game and happily play with you guys if you want.

Is this all I need?

Are we going to break things out and see what different PCs we need? Does NWN support specialists? Always wanted to try an Invoker Mage.

The only thing you should need is the basic Neverwinter Nights game. No expansions required. I don't remember enough about the game to say if it supports specialists or not. It's been years since I actually had the thing installed on my PC.

Hey Fenix, thanks for the link. I was looking to replace my surreptitious set with this at a decent price. $30 shipped seems good enough for me.

Re: NeverWinter Nights

The server is up and running! I'm waiting for the installer to finish locally so I can test it out. But it should be good to go.
