There's SO much more we could do with this game. Frankly, I'm getting a little sick of the "Capture the Flag" game...we all seem to go our separate ways and get picked off one-by-one by some chuckle-head in an AH-64.
Like Ryn stated...if we could just organize our style of play, move in "battle units". Armor, infantry, AA support, it would be a lot more fulfilling to me personally. Truth be told though....I love being able to sneak up on your bud (on the other team of course) and knife him in the back...then get a big kick out of it on TS.
Now, I don't want to take away the fun. If we regiment-alize the play too much, we'll likely find our server quickly being emptied.
Before I left last night, I saw some real teamwork developing from the "pub-ies." One dude driving a helo, another 5 on board, jumping out over a flag to saturate the area. Too bad a nigh-invincible AH-64 happened along to destroy us all with one friggin missile. Aside: Is there a way we can mod the helos to be less effective. I mean really, one stinger is enough to ruin it's day, but in this game it almost impossible to bring them down.

Simple things like this make playing much more enjoyable and affect no one else in the game. If we effectively hold those two flags it usually wins the map for our team since the rest of the yahoos are attacking their base keeping them busy.

Are there other modes other than capture the flag? The only other one I know is bombing radar installations but that was a map with vanilla BF.

12-30-2003, 09:10 PM #20This, to me, is a fundamental limitation of MANY games out there right now. CounterStrike got this right - why the hell haven't any other games developers taken notice and integrate this into their product? Having to rely on external means to gain voice comms is silly in this day and age.
