I just put up 4 more death-bubble maps that I finished.. DC_Weapons_Bunkers and all three days of the El_Alamein map.

DC_Weapons_Bunkers has a larger radius than the others to help encourage the Opposition team to play defense rather than offense.

Ahhh weapons bunker, I remember liking that one very much, as far as infantry maps go.

Death bubbles are protective zones around uncapturable spawn points. They cause damage (in some cases severe and rapid) to vehicles and persons entering the zone around a UCB.

Vehicles that may accidentally wander into a UCB during routine combat operations (such as an F15 involved in a dogfight) will take damage but it will be less severe than the damage taken to a vehicle such as a Humvee. Damage to persons entering a base is fairly quick, but you'll have enough time to reconsider your course of action and turn around before actually dying. Vehicles such as the M1A1 and T72 tanks will take EXTREME damage VERY quickly. You'll be lucky to get out alive at all.

These death bubbles are being slowly added as I identify the appropriate maps and coordinates to create them. We have 8 maps in rotation at the present time that I have completed modding to add these protective zones. I expect to have all of the appropriate maps modded within the next 7-10 days.

On some maps, these death bubbles may only protect a single team's UCB, either because there is only one UCB on the map (as in the "Push" maps) or there are specific objectives that can be completed in one of the UCBs. This won't be a common situation though.

It's about time! We've been really getting in some awesome games lately. It's been making me wonder why I ever gave up Desert Combat to go play Joint Operations.. It must have been the foliage..

We had some fun close games last night. It ended a bit early, but we had a few good hours of fun. It's nice seeing a good group of TG players getting online and then watching the pubbies jump on. For the most part, they haven't been the pain in the arse players either.
