Re: NoFlyZoneDay2 Rules discussion
And the A10 has one pilot, right? So what's the trick to bombing with a bomber buddy? How do you bomb by yourself in the A10? What are the opposition bombing aircraft? There are so many things I don't know about air combat and even less about air combat in DC.

A10 has one pilot and bombs are your alt-fire button. When it comes to aiming, you're gonna have to figure that out on your own. I suck at bombing. Most say that the trick is to use the third-person view of the plane while flying. I find this very difficult. I also hate the fact that we have external views of vehicles on our server. It's cheating, IMO.

Re: NoFlyZoneDay2 Rules discussion
I've found that in order to bomb a target easily and successfully, you need to gain a lot of altitude... When you're about to make your bombing run point straight up in the air and count to 10.. That should be your starting altitude..
Get near the enemy base, almost on top of it and begin your nose dive. You will want to be on a severe diving angle. Line your crosshairs up on your target (would should be largely below you) and begin releasing..
With a little practice you SHOULD be able to drop all 8 bombs out of the SU25 or A10 before having to pull up.

Re: NoFlyZoneDay2 Rules discussion
I find what works for me is two ways to bomb.
1. Line up on target about 100 feet offf the deck and below most guns. Then when you are about 150-200 feet away from target, start dropping your bombs. If you are lined up, you should hit the target. Keep in mind to not drop the bombs too late. They have a tendancy to stay with you as you fly. So keep in mind that your bombs are right below you as you fly. Drop them too late, and they overshoot. That is why I drop lots and sort of strafe the target with bombs.
2. Another thing I have been working on is slowing the aircraft to almost stall speed then drop your bombs. This way you don't have to lead so much.
But what people say about 3rd person view is true. In order to get the timing right, you need this. On a map during practice, switch view to exterior, then select a target and drop bomb. Keep adjusting drop time till you bomb hits the target. I find that at 150-200 feet, your lead is about 3 seconds. So drop 3 seconds before target with level flight. If you are in a dive, shorten your lead to 1-2 seconds.
3. The high speed dive works too, but I have not used it much. It worked for the Germans and Japs in the War. So there must be something to it.
