Heck yea! I still play that now two years after I originally got it. I love playing deathmatch with the matrix mod and the Ballistic weapons mod (slighty more realisitc weapons). I can walk into a room, hit the bullet time button, jump, and kill everyone before I touch the ground again. And of course, I use the Agent Smith model, so it's even cooler. It really makes me miss the ability to jump twenty feet in the air, hover, or run on walls in other games though.

The Chaos mod for UT2K4 is pretty good too. I really like the melee combat. Sometimes I get tired of shooting lasers and spewing plasma at my enemies and I just need a battle axe.

    My Favorite First Person Shooters:
    • Wolfienstien 3D (Yes, the really old one)
    • Doom
    • Unreal Tournament 2004
    • Battlefield 2 (preferably running the 1.1 patch, the game just hasn't been as fun for me since then)
    • Half Life (I just finished this the other week because I wanted to know the story before I played Half Life 2. Now that I finished I'm just more confused... and I hate the G man a lot. I haven't finished Half Life 2 yet, so I won't put it on the list right now)
    • Halo/Halo 2 (I had a lot of fun playing Co-op, and I was actually pretty good at Halo 2 on Xbox Live for a while, but then I got sick of playing smack-talking 5 year olds)
    AKA ContingencyPlan

    Singleplayer
Goldeneye takes first place, why? because everyone knows how good it was, rather they liked it or not. GoTY 2 years in row.
    Halo & Halo 2
Call Of Duty 1&2 probably enjoyed them both equally.
    Half Life 2

    Mutiplayer
Unreal Tournament (Dreamcast) then to PC
    Battlefield 2 (FTW)
Halo2 (yes, there are others who like halo2)
Wolfenstein:ET (I had such a blast couple years back with this)
Goldeneye (I played alot of 4player split screen, such great fun)
Call Of Duty 1 really enjoyed it.
    Unreal Tournament 2004

I enjoyed red faction, the fact that you could make a hole in the walls and walk inside of it, more games need destructible environments like that.

Red Faction was the first game I got when I bought PS2. I enjoyed it a lot. I put it down in Multiplayer though because of all the countless hours I spent playing with my brother + bots on the office map (kind of looked like the lobby from the matrix). Whenever the level ended the map was nothing but craters and we would start back up again. It was just one of life's simple pleasures.

Yeah, I actually played it first on ps2 as well, I can't really remember much of it now, just a space map, with a bunch of miners or something.

Re: Your Favorite First Person Shooters?

I remember my first multiplayer FPS was Marathon Infinity on the Mac. I was 15, I guess, in my 9th grade elective class (school went k-9) and me and a couple of friends choose to take the computer class. Since there were only 6 of us the teacher pretty much just let us do whatever we wanted as she would go do other work.

I think I could add Blood and Shadow Warrior to my list of singleplayer favorites, though it might just be nastalgia. "Who wants Lo Wang?"
