Re: HL2 Mod: Eternal Silence

Still good, but has a ways to go before it becomes prime TG material. Let them get that commander interface online, add a few more ships, and clean up some of the rough edges of infantry combat and then we'll give it a serious get-go. It is promising, make no mistake, but not ready.

Re: HL2 Mod: Eternal Silence

Not digging the pubby land so much but the game definately has tactical merit. The real deciding factor will be how well the developers cater to tactics vs deathmatch gameplay.

Re: HL2 Mod: Eternal Silence

I just downlaoded this mod again...second time around and I gotta say, it's impressive. Shows real potential for a tactical space ship/soldier shooter. The elements of space combat and ship breaching work out pretty well. I've read through their forums and looks like they're working on Beta 3 which will introduce new game elements and more ships. If anyone is still half interested, their player base is low and I'd like to check this game out with TGers.

Also, if we find it worthwhile...they're accepting beta testers. I might sign up for that.

Re: HL2 Mod: Eternal Silence

TG is temporarily running this mod, it's on and off, but be sure to check in and see if it's up and running if you're interested in this mod!

And I must say, after playing this for a couple hours today with some TGers...this is quickly becoming one of my favs. Very intense!

Server IP:
70.87.55.28:27015

Also, if the server is empty...jump on in. My experience says this mod is easy to seed...and currently, when TG's server is running, we're the only server (on my list) that pings under 100. Not to mention there are only 2 other servers currently running this mod...and one of them is borked. The other working one pings at 200+...I probably already said this.

Re: HL2 Mod: Eternal Silence

DLing now, should be interesting.

Edit: It just occurred to me that we have a TS source mods channel. Maybe we can meet up there.
