Screenshots are stored here:

I know it was weird, I couldn't find it either. You'd think it would be under your own documents folder instead of the all users one.
Paperchase, there's a trainer out that lets you carry an unlimited amount I believe. I know it's kind of cheating, but still.
Santa, yeah that's the part I was talking about. Snail had it right about just walking into a building and letting them come to you. That's what they said to do in that Gamespot guide. I should have tried that first.Last edited by jmaker; 03-22-2007 at 09:45 PM.

Here this might work. I just found this. It's the fix for the sound issue.

Just out of curiosity, are you guys actually using the Artifacts? If so, how? That still seems like a pretty ambiguous game feature to me.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I'm using three right now.
Fireball (takes radiation away but lowers my endurance)
Meat Chunk (+400% health but lowers my tolerance to physical damages) -Don't really know how much this helps, might work better now that I finally have a stalker suit.
Sparkler (increases my endurance but decreases my tolerance to electric shock)
Just double click an artifact you want to equip while in your inventory. Also, don't sell artifacts unless you are strapped for cash or have a friend with a good amount of cash just stash them in chests near dealers. This makes artifact hunt missions a lot easier and quicker too.
Also, the weapons definitely get cooler as you travel around and a lot more accurate so don't judge the entire game on the inaccuracy of the starter weapons. I just stumbled upon a semi-auto grenade launcher. My arsenal is pretty serious now.
Does anyone know how to get scopes onto rifles? \ I was able to take a scope off a regular AKm but can't to put it on my Fast Firing AKm. Dragging and dropping doesn't seem to work.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Hey does any here know how to do the mission where the task is to take a part of a Snork's body to the scientest to the 'client' in Yatar? I've killed around forteen Snorks and there's no special mission-related function where you could take the Snork's body.
To mount a scope:
1. Equip the rifle that you want the scope on.
2. With the dismonted scope, click and drag the scope onto the equipped weapon slot in your inventory.
3. There's your scope!
I saw an AKS-74 with a PSO-1 Scope, GP-25 grenade launcher, AND a PBS silencer mounted on a vise in the army warehouses, does anyone know how to take it or is it just a static object?
One more thing, Kruglov died in the rail yard while I was escorting him the other day! Will my game be broken? Will I shut myself off from a whole series of missions you get from Kruglov?

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
The best artirfacts to use are the ones which give a boost to stamina and minus radiation. I have 3 right now that give boosts to stamina but minus 30% to electrical....im not walkin through electrical anomolies all that much so its not a big deal. I found a battery artifact which gives +30% to electrical so it evens out. And i have a -20 radiation but -18 to endurance.
With all that and as long as i stay below 50 kg i can pretty much run forever. I just got into Prypat and going toward Chernobyl. Cant wait to see some really awesome artifacts there.
If you need money just pick up the random artifacts that arent that good and sell them to a dealer. Some of em can net you over 3 g's. I got so much money at this point i dont even worry bout the side quests all that much. I already have one of the best armors in the game as well as the best assault rifle (GP 37) Engaging from med to semi long distance is the best as all it takes is a few clicks tot he head and theyre down. Its actually harder up close since you have to spray n pray since you dont have time for the scope. The enemies arent that hard once you get good armor and a good rifle. Just try not to rush them unless youre sure theyre reloading or you have a shotgun.
I found a piece of a snork....just keep killing them...one of em has it.
To put on a scope first you have to make sure its equipped them place the sscope on it....you cant do it in the inventory window for some reason.
The game definately gets better the longer you play.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Its actually in kg, so at max load (60 kg) you are carrying 132 lbs which seems pretty realistic. The only thing you can do, at least from what I have seen, is pick up artifacts that increase your endurance so you don't tire as fast when sprinting or carrying over 50 kg.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
This could be a spoiler.
I got a quest to kill a "master stalker" north of the Duty base. I snuck in there and knifed the master stalker. He had 3 more stalkers surrounding him that must have been his buddies. So i quickly stole his gun, found cover, and systematically killed the remaining 3 stalkers with 3 shots from the stolen gun. It was easily the most badass thing ive ever seen. Its really fun when you start getting some of the better rifles and you start being able to really line up a headshot.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Haha, did the same thing. The only thing that is missing is a gunsmith who can repair your weapons.
Note: artifacts that effect how much you bleed currently do the opposite of what their description states. Slugs, etc. which are supposed to help stop/prevent bleeding, actually make your bleeding worse. Urchins, etc. which are supposed to make you bleed but take away radiation, in fact help you.
Spoiler
One of the side mission's might be bugged. In the Bar there is a drunk Dutyer who wants you to get the weapon he dropped when ran away. He says he dropped it in the trench in the Dark Valley. The problem is that the PDA map does not display the marker but also zooms in on the Research Institute when you click on the mission. I went over to the Dark Valley and went into what I believe is the trench he was talking about and found nothing. Has anyone else attempted this mission?
