Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
1) Is there a way to highlight the PDA map so you can know which direction to take for side quests? Will your map arrow show the direction?
2) I keep getting radiation when I use Artefacts. Is that the negative of using them?
3) If you have three of the same weapon can you put the ammo into one rather than switching them out when the ammo runs out?|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath

You can make the PDA map to show an arrow to your objective. Just double click on your objective.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Have you tried right-clicking on the guns and selecting 'unload'? I believe this moves the ammo from the guns, to your inventory...then you can sell the other two.
My questions:
1) Should I just get used to walking every where? Thats getting old quick.
2) This was asked earlier: How do you counter the radiation that the artifacts bring on? I really want to equip some 'facts, but the large red radiation sign on my HUD is discouraging....
3) Anybody know where to find a Psuedo Dog tail?
Like the game a lot, but it might need some patching. Definetly going to keep playing.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Yeah, carry only one or two guns and a pile of ammo. Sell the other guns ASAP.
You'll quickly find artifacts that allow you to run everywhere, but, so far, you're on your own two feet only.My questions:
1) Should I just get used to walking every where? Thats getting old quick.
Alcohol and the anti-radiation injection will both get rid of radiation early in the game. There are also artifacts that will get rid of radiation. Just a bit further on in the game, you'll get a stalker suit which will offer you protection from radiation, too. In the bottom right corner of your inventory screen it tells you what all the advantages and disadvantages to your armor and artifacts are...2) This was asked earlier: How do you counter the radiation that the artifacts bring on? I found a pseudo dog tail after killing my first mutant dog. Then I died during the first mission and haven't found another tail since...

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
right-click and "unload" is the option you are looking for and one I use often. After every gunfight, while searching for loot, I check all of the dropped weapons for ammo and then discard them.
The first artifacts (blood stone, blood flower, jelly fish, gravi, wrenched) aren't helpful to equip. They are there for trading purposes/side missions.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Bloodsuckers are crazy. I had one charge me and i tried taking him out with my AK variant, but it jammed. So i whipped out the pistol, only to realize i hadnt reloaded previously and only had 1 bullet ready. So i took out the knife and knifed the bastard. Suck on that.
Heres a funny screenshot. I didnt put this guy in the fire, so i guess one of the stalkers did it himself. Im not even sick enough of a bastard to do that. I took him out of the fire, and he was all ablaze...pretty cool to see.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
It's funny that the LR-300 you find in the mercenary camp in some place north-west of the Freedom base is called a sniper variant. All it has is a suppressor and SUSAT scope. Most unimpressed. I was hoping I would find something along the lines of an SR-25 or some full length AR-15 with a dedicated marksman scope.
Did anyone find the Big Ben (Desert Eagle modified to fire a different cartidge) pistol yet? I used to have one, but I lost it sorting out my stuff in some unknown location.

OK, I made the mistake of joining up with Freedom and wiping out the Duty raiding party and now I can't go back to the bar to collect my rewards. Can I just shoot my way in?

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Heres my loadout:

The army warehouses were good to me
The pseudo sniper rifle and its cousin without the scope both use the same ammo (which not only is plentiful, but is AP). Those are great for when i havent been spotted, and against mutants because of their high damage. The other gun is great for when everyone knows where i am and i need a little more punch and a bigger magazine.
Spoiler question below
Im moving north to the Red Forest, and apparently this suit i got when ransacking the Freedom base doesnt offer enough radiation protection. So before i go back up there and fight through a ton of freedom/monolith guys and see if another suit works, will the SEVA suit protect me up there? Or do i need to go back to the scientist bunker and get that orange suit?

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
The SEVA suit will do good against radiation. Just remember to bring the Psi-Helmet to counter the effects of the Brain Scorcher.
Man, the OC-14 Groza is an amazingly good weapon, I found the 5.45 x 39 mm version of the firearm so I can go into areas filled with hostiles armed with other 5.45mm firearms without running out of ammo.Last edited by Paperchase; 03-26-2007 at 10:54 PM.
