Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Apparently that quest is bugged as nobody can find the damn thing.
That muscle suit you see is acutally an exoskeleton suit. Youll eventually be able to find one once you reach chernobyl. It wieghs a full 15(!) kgs and has excellent bullet protection but hardly any radiation protection so if you want to wear it, youll need some anti-rad artifacts

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
You have to do some Mario like jumps to get to it. I think the bugged rifle quest is the one where you have to find something in Dark Valley, but i never did it.

Okay, I got tired of goofing around and went into the plant. I got the exoskeleton suit and completed at least one of the finishes.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Yeah i beat it as well. I got a kind of silly ending, but interesting none the less. What pisses me off is that the only reason i got one of the false endings is because of a bug that never let me actually "finish" the "Find Strelok's Stash" quest.
Pipyrat is really awesome. Very nice urban area with firefights going on all over the place

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I finished the wish granter ending and the warping ending. Well, none of the endings are all that great. The warp fight was pretty cool, though. Worth it just for that extra battle.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I'm playing on Stalker. Once I finish my game, I'll patch and start on max difficulty.
I'm only about halfway(at Yantar?) through the game, and even though it looks like crap on my machine, I love this game. Interface issues, bugs, and questionable translation aside, I really like the atmosphere and setting. I just need to figure out how to be less of a packrat. I'm constantly hovering around 50 kg, because I love being able to run the hell away from bad stuff.
As for the arena, for many of the fights, your inventory will have some improved ammunition, so changing your ammo type may give you an edge.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I patched and restarted a game on Veteran. Last game I played on Novice because I just could not get through that first car park battle. Damned if I can tell the difference in the 2 levels of difficulty. If anything this thing is easier after the patch, just because some things at the beginning that were supposed to happen actually happened this time. I was able to loot more at the beginning and headed up to the garbage with more than a pistol and shotgun with no ammo.
Some patch notes. I never knew what that purple shield indicator was, because pre-patch that thing never moved. Now your armour depletes in usefullness alarmingly quick. Armour is more available, but you are actually going to have to use that money you make to buy armour as yours gets wasted. Money is much tighter now because of it.
The game events have been tweaked, so some of the scripted encounters work better now.
It's a shame they couldn't have released with this patch.
Because of this game I absolutely cannot play the new expansion pack for Oblivion. That game seems like Pac Man now in terms of game mechanics and the character animation. The Dirty

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I just watched the latest 1UP show which featured supposedly an early beta of it. The story has captivated my attention, but the user interface of pointing and clicking has been a bit of a turnoff :/
Still a game for the history books. Especially since I know very little about the whole Chernobyl incident anyways.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
SPOILER below for those who have not played.
I'm made it to the Garbage section and helped defeat the bandits.
With out giving me too much info - I wanna rummage around in the garbage mounds but the radiation is killing me.
How do I get in there?|TG-9th| TheFatKidDeath
