Man, you guys have to try the AMK mod. Even though it's in Russian, there's a half-done but functional English translation available.

I hope the Priboi patch 2.0 comes out soon, because that's a nice rewrite.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Bump. Just got this game. I must say I've never been more scared in my life. More so than L4D! At the part where that telepathic bugger starts force pull and pushing you under the base scared the absolute crap out of me!

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Hey anyone know if they making a WMK patch for 1.0006? I really want to try that mod out.
Also I got to say I don't like going out at night anymore there. Too many bandits and mutants! That telepathic guy in the underground scared the hell out of me too much. I don't want to go anywhere near the underground anymore!
Anyone still playing this? Or should I look for Clear Sky?

I... never finished it. To tell you the truth my computer chugs with it, I plan on getting back into it with my new computer (when I'm able to get it). I don't want to get Clear Sky if I can't finish this one :P

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Well its time to bring this thread back. Why? Because STALKER: Call of Pripyat is coming out.
http://cop.stalker-game.com/
I am so excited for this I got up and danced around when I found out about it
.
And for those of you that are looking for a mod that makes Clear Sky more like the SoC mod here is a mod worth trying(Be warned this makes the game really hard).
http://z4.invisionfree.com/STALKERRE
I have to go and rebeat SoC and CS now.. the zone calls me!

Yay! More Stalker!
Here is Roadside Picnic, the original short story that provided the inspiration for STALKER.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Any good mods for the first one? I never finished it. I'm kinda looking for something that enhances the original experience but doesn't necessarily make it harder. Also would Clear Sky be worth a purchase at this point? Or should I just focus on the original STALKER?

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Focus on the original.. as for mods for STALKER you should try oblivion lost.
