Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
i like em...Specially when youre trying to be all Mantis-like and attach a silencer. A little "pssd, pssd" and you have no idea what hit you...

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Anyone know if the game will rival Oblivion in terms of vastness - areas to explore - etc?

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Alright then, the weapons will be fine.
FatKid, I believe that was one of their main goals. I think they said you can go straight to Chernobyl from the beginning without even completing any quests, so apparently you can do whatever you want and go wherever you want.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
yup...you just cant go into radioactive zones until you get the proper equipment. Its about 30 sq kilometers in size, so compare that to Oblivion, which i have no idea how big that was. I have a good feeling itll be bigger than Oblivion with tons of areas to explore.

I guess they put the need to eat back into the game after it was reportedly taken out. I like having little things to worry about sometimes. It adds a bit more to the stakes when trying to complete a mission.
Thank God for March Madness and St. Patty's Day this weekend. Now I can remain in a drunken stupor for the next 3 days, making me only have to really wait Monday for STALKER to finally come out.

I'll try to give this game a real chance once my new computer is up, and not getting 20fps.

Physically in stores on Wednesday? Release is Tuesday the 20th but isn't the following day when it's in stores?

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I thought this was quite a good review of STALKER.
http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrank...eviewid=767700
I've been browsing through some other reviews and it appears most reviewers are giving the game scores of 8/10 or 80/100. Apparently it could do with some polishing, maybe I'll wait for a couple of patches to arrive before I get it.
