Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Yeah, that was a good review. I was fearing the worst quite frankly. Glad I was proven wrong!

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
ive been waiting 6 years for this game...aint nothin this side of hell will stop me from gettin this baby ASAP. And yes, pyshically in stores wednesday.
Any more polish and we wouldnt be seeing this game for another 5 years. This is one of the most ambitous ideas in the last decade....its going to have a few bugs no matter how long you try to squash them.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
gamespot has the release as the 23rd, Bestbuy says the 21st, EBgames and Walmart say pre-release ships on the 20th. So it looks like the earliest is Wednesday. I guess its the old "I've waited this long, I guess I can wait one more day."
Edit:
Just a note about the review posted: According to some of the forums, quicksave is F6 and quickload is F7. It just wasn't listed in the in game controls menu.Last edited by aculle01; 03-19-2007 at 05:57 PM.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
Media (Games, movies, cd's) arrive to stores anywhere as soon as 3 weeks before release date. 99% of all media is "released on a Tuesday as agreed upon by the distributor. It all depends on whether the distributor sets a Hard Street Date or a Soft Date (Release upon Receipt). If it releases on Tuesday, it will be on the shelves Tuesday morning.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I went to EB games to reserve my copy last week, and they told me that the game ships on Tuesday but wont be at their store till sometime Wednesday. I think it just depends on how close your retail store is to whoever ships the game out. Some people may be able to get it Tuesday, others on Wednesday.
About the reviews, i know from the beta that the guns, the atmosphere, and just the general game mechanics are awesome. The only other thing this guy disliked was the way the story was developed, and thats the least important thing to me in a video game.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I do have to say it is one of the better reviews I have read. It actually sounds like he invested his time into playing the game rather than just running through it to write a review. The part about him sneaking around a stalker camp fire as the weather changed around him alone makes me can't wait for it.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
In my experience gamespot reviews are the most reliable. Basically, a 7-8 means youll be entertained for a week. An 8-9 means youll enjoy it for a few months and its a must buy. A 9-10 is a must buy and youll be satisfied for a year or more. IGN reviews just seem inconsistent and in a lot of cases flat out wrong.

Re: S.t.a.l.k.e.r.
I believe only if its pre-release it gets there on wed at Gamestop. If its a regular release, will be tuesday. Ratings for this game so far...should of been a 9+ for the long time in devlopment.

All I have to say is that the game is freaking awesome. The atmosphere and environment is amazing.
