Gabe Newell announces HL2 is going gold on Monday.
As posted in the HL2 Fallout forums, the Managing Director of Valve Software has announced that Half Life 2 is going gold Monday. How long it will take to see the game in stores is anyone's guess, but it can't be too long (although, with Valve's luck the master disc will be stolen before it can be reproduced...). I'd expect to see HL2 in stores in just a few weeks.

I heard it was going to be in stores November. Amazon and a few other places have updated the release date to be November 1st.
At this point, I don't even care when it's released. I've got a few games and lots of schoolwork coming up to keep me busy.
