I didn't really see any special features with dx10. Just use it with dx10 off.

What? Its true, I ran the demo on Vista under DX10 mode. Maybe the smoke haze looked a bit more realistic. No idea, all I saw was about 5 fps drop.

I said subtle effects, website that reviewed the game in dx9 mode and dx10 even said sutble, not even worth installing on vista for. That's really the only noticeable effect, and that effect could be done in dx9 I bet. So I'm not the one whose unstable. You obviously are for spending 600$ on something that will be obsolete in a year.
Ps, and I don't recall smoke looking that bad on my machine either.|TG-12th|Undead
