Thursday, Feb 21st, Defending Comm Station (360)

There were 2 of us in a squad. Lucan Desmond (sniper king and airstrike prediction gawd) and myself (EMP tech FTW!) We were trying to get others into the squad but alas, nobody was talking. We did get another person in the squad, but all he wanted to do was wait for the chopper and try to fly around, but for some reason the enemy always got OUR chopper

We were defending the comm terminal on Oil Field while on the WC side. Lucan was running Sniper/Airstrike as usual, and I went assault/EMP tech. We worked well with him providing overwatch from the refinery in the middle, and me running around in the storage tanks telling him when an APC or tanks was coming in and from which side.

The enemy did come in in squad size, but having Lucan snipe and calling in the air support helped me defend the terminal. I mostly used the melee attack and Grenade Launcher while up close in the storage tanks. This worked VERY well. It was always intersting running over to the resupply point at the vehicle shed becasue of how much it was in the open. When I would see an APC I would mark it with the SL marker, and Lucan would then be able to see it's route and put a precision strike accordingly.

I kept up an EMP stick most of the time so that no airstrikes came in. I kept it near to the bigger storage tanks so that the anti-air would cover the widest radius and it would stall vehicles in a very easy to hit area for my airstrike man Lucan. No vehicle came to the point without getting hit by my EMP rocket. When they did manage to down my stick, I felt it pretty heavily. But I did put one up as soon as I could when my stick went down.

The good thing about this point is that you can take good cover from vehicles while the airstrike man is working his magic. I would say that the WC has an advantage over the RSA on this CP.

What worked:

-Having a cover sniper/airstrike man
-Having an EMP tech to stop airstrikes
-SQUAD COMMS

What could have been better:

-More people in the squad
-Having QUALITY people in the squad (besides Lucan)
-Having a Support tech so we could have a rail gun in those times that our air support guy didn't have a strike to put down.

I don't play FFow, but I have a question for you xbox gamers. How on earth do you spin around, aim quickly, and, really, maneuver at all with those analog sticks???

You really get used to it after a while. I used to think the same thing back when I played all the MODs for the original Half-Life. I was a hardcore PC gamer. But believe me, it works just fine..... Also, your flame post is pretty off topic and not really appreciated, so if you have something of worth to add to the discussion, than please do. If not, please keep it to yourself.

It's cool, I just get defensive sometimes... I've seen decent boards destroyed by flame wars before and I guess I just jump to conclusions sometimes.
