Water tower attack and defend: Solar Farm
I'm just gonna keep doing these till someone says I need to stop.
Wednesday, Febuary 27th. Squad: -Lucan Desmond -Scarface6174 -2 other team players Loadouts: -Lucan: Sniper/EMP tech (I think it was sniper) -Me: Spec Ops/EMP tech First off, I've realised that both my team and the enemy would be rushing neutral CP's. It's gonna happen so be ready for it. The real team play started the 2nd round, although we did win the 1st round handily. The 1st round I was cycling the last two spots with people who could communicate/take orders or give suggestions. I'm sorry that I can't remember their names. I spawned at the WC west base and hopped in a AA vehicle to book it over to the CP. Lucan Desmond hopped in a chopper to provide air support. The other 2 players took a jeep and made it over to the CP around the same time I did. Lucan was hovering behind the CP and I was on it capping. I died from a very well placed plane missile, but my other 2 squaddies were there and eventually capped it while I was waiting to respawn. Lucan ran the gamut of providing air support to giving me a hand EMPing the crud out of the other team. No vehicle ever made it to our base without getting hit with an EMP rocket or a well placed generator. EMP useage: -We placed the EMP sticks behind the trailer at water tower, and in the solar panels toward the enemy base. Both of those combined for absoutly no airstrikes and stalling of vehicles very well. -I used the EMP/C4 trick about 3 times before they wised up. I would run toward them with C4 in hand and they would jump out. Either Lucan or I killed them most of the time. -I would EMP choppers and Lucan would go in for the kill with his own chopper. Worked like a charm. C4 fun: -There are only 3 ground routes availabe to the enemy to approach with vehicles. I used C4 lined across the road and waited on the roof of the trailer. I had a good sight line down the road so I could switch weapons quickly and *BOOM*!!! - Whenever the enemy was about to capture the dish, I would Lay C4 at the opening there in prepration for the inevatible assult. Another factor involved in our defense of the water tower was the sniper team set up near the out of bounds to the west. They were having continual skirmishes with infantry coming up and winning most of the engagments. Although I couldn't talk to them, it was obvious that they were defending the same CP. We won all 3 rounds by over a 100 point margin. It was good stuff.

Re: Water tower attack and defend: Solar Farm
It was definitely a good game and we were doing well. Scar got one thing wrong though, I was running the Anti-Vehicle loadout for most of the game.... barely used it though as I spent most of my game in a chopper. They shot me down a couple times, but I usually managed to jump out before exploding and would hop in a vehicle, drive back to base and get a new heli.
We also managed to push forward to the next CP in line for a bit, but only held it for a few minutes before getting pushed back to the water tower. |
