I was playing a pub server this morning which was hosting the Oilfield map. What a fun time this was. I've been playing the Ground Support role for some time now but decided to switch to EMP to see how well it works with my favorite class, Spec Ops.

I join the RSA side and quickly spawn in on the RSA Pumping Station. A few of us run and grab the Communication Station with me doing the capture and 2 others watching my back. We quickly capture this point and immediately start defense. We've got hostile tanks, jeeps, and APC's incoming, along with infantry running down the road. I get a few kills in before I am killed by a tank round but this gives me my EMP stick. At next deployment I drop the stick near the building in front of the CP. This stops all vehicles coming in from behind us. From the north we start getting drone after drone. I get killed by a Mortar drone and have to deploy once again. The CP goes neutral and I head back for the recapture. I kill the guy and start the recapture when I get wasted by another tank with only 4-5 bars left until capture. I spawn back in and run to the Communications Station again to find all the vehicles gone and an army of Assault and Mortar drones lined up near the northern silos(the silos in the middle between the Communications Station and Storage Plant). I take the CP and get my EMP rocket. This is where the fun begins. My first objective is to kill the drones that are killing the new deployments heading over to capture the Storage plant where most of the fighting is going on. I hide behind a wall and equip my EMP rocket, pop out, disable drone, run up and drop C4 on it. KABOOM! One drone down. I start getting attacked by a Mortar drone and run for cover. Time to reload the EMP rocket. I pop out and quickly disable this one as well. Another C4 and another drone down. Evidently at this point I made the controllers mad they started coming out after me. I noticed they were hiding in the steel gridwork between all the silos so I head in and kill a few. After clearing the area I come out behind another Assault drone sitting there looking around. No EMP needed for this one, I was already behind it, C4, another one bites the dust. By this time the 2-3 of us that were defending the Comm Station had armor rolling in on us again. I stick my head around the corner to see 1 teammate sending AV rockets into a tank at the CP covering someone trying to take it over. As I run from the silos I EMP the tank which was turning to fire at me. Someone has taken out the guy capturing the CP and as I reload the tank turns to fire at me again, another EMP in his face and he's a sitting duck. Two AV rockets come flying at him and take him down. I had a blast defending this one CP with some help from the new deployments though they didn't stick around too long, and we did win

Nice man! I know alot of people don't like being emp, but this just goes to show how effective it can be in the right circumstances. I remember stopping drone spammers flat while I was emp on streets during the mp demo for 360.

My squad relies on me goin' EMP tech. They just assume that I am every round. They'd be right 80% of the time. If I see someone else going EMP, and using it properly, then I change up and rawk the Air strike role.
