Desert Conflict 2 announced

It's not surprising, considering the original DC developers founded Trauma Studios and then Kaos Studios... but Frontlines isn't even released yet and the mod community is already starting up!

Well,
Fingers and toes crossed that they will develop and outstanding product. I cut my teeth on the original DC years ago. Countless hours of enjoyment. I was so disappointed in the BF2 release that I actually deleted it. I will hope for now that they take some of the FFOW philosophy like earning your kit/specialty progression over rounds and breath life back into what was one of my favorite game/mods of all time.
