I check STEAM almost once an hour just waiting for that buy button. Today, FFOW moved to the top of the "Coming Soon" list.

Its looks like on digital download whether D2D or steam that

It looks like you can go into a game shop and buy it off the shelves on 26th in US and 29th in Euro/worldwide

Both Quake Wars and Call of Duty 4 came on Steam a week after their in-store retail dates.

* Ship date for Xbox 360/PC: 2/25/08
o Street date for US: 2/26 or 2/27
o Street date for Europe and worldwide: 2/29
o Steam and direct download sites: TBA

it appears from the talk on Kaos forums
ship date on 25th means the trucks roll out full of hard copies of the game, on route for the stores
street date of 26/27 Feb is when the trucks arrive at your local store and you can walk in and buy a copy
direct download sites is where you can pay for the game over the internet and download the game and play eg steam eg D2D, date for this is not finalised, although it does look like the 27th, at least that what steam says. For steam it looks like there will be no pre-load.

so in the US it looks like walking into your local store on the 26th and picking up a copy is the earliest you are going to get your excited hands on this game !

Yep, these pre-release dates are always a day early. Only because thats the shipping date, and hardly anyone gets it on that day, plus the 26th is on a tuesday, when most games are released.

Since Circuit City's website still says the 25th, I thought I'd go and check it out, to see if they had any. They have been known in the past to release games early, and actually get them in the stores earlier, they did this with Halo 2 PC.

They didn't have any, I checked Best Buy and Target while I was out as well, and nothing yet.
