New to TG:FFoW? Say 'hello' !!! - Page 3

Hello chaps, good to recogise a few names and fellow vegetarians will be getting Frontlined up when it arrives. I've played the open beta enough to want to buy it, but uninstalled so I don't lose that clumbsy new game experience that comes as part of the learning curve.

For now I'll content myself with youtubes and tutorials until we get the real thing.

Well I think I'm late but here goes. I am pretty hyped up about this game even if I missed the beta. I have been reading some good things about it here in the forums, so I will be picking up the game on release and renewing my membership.

I have been missing a good shooter for quite some time. All I've had time to play lately is a bit of Company of Heroes here and there but I have gotten everything in order and I can come back to gaming YAY.

I have been trolling for quite a while from work and this is my 3rd post in a long time. I really missed being part of the community and I hope this game helps me ease back in with you guys.

So 6 more days to go

Looks like you have a great community here. Have been playing the demo a bit on the 360 but will get it for PC since that is where I feel more comfortable for multi-player stuff. Have not really got into ground combat multi-player games too much. Most of my experience is in racing and aviation sims. After finding the 360 FFoW demo I decided to see where I could join a good group of people and so far I like what I have read here at TG.

I will be starting from the ground up with this kind of game but I think it will be a blast. Going to concentrate mostly on a single role in the hopes of becoming very good at it...Countermeasure Tech.

Not really new to TG as I usually lurk around the ET:QW, but just thought I'd drop by. Looking forward to this game as QW was good but didn't really have the squad play action that I was looking for. Hopefully I'll be able to play on the TG server without too much interference from lag. I know that QW has some sorta anti-lag thingy that lets me play on foreign servers with massive ping, but still make it playable. If it's too laggy to play here I'll probably still lurk around the forums, and try and promote the TG way over here in the down under

I only just got the beta and played about 10 mins, and I'm sad to say I was quite dissappointed. It doesn't run very well on my PC so that's part of the problem, but I just found the menu's and HUD annoying. There's something else but I can't quite place it. That said, I'll probably get this game once I've upgraded my PC, so see you guys then.

I guess I need to find the recommended specs for this game. I think I'll be OK...don't have the latest hardware but I think I'm still good to go for most games. X2 4800+ CPU, 2GB RAM, 7900GTX 512mb

Yeah I meet the specs but I am hoping there is no big issues. I wont be upgrading my pc for another 2 months

I played more Frontlines last night with Whiskey, Apophis, Panzerhans and a few others (sorry, can't remember who) and liked it a lot more. I guess it's like BF2 in that way, it sucks without teamwork. I averaged about 10 frames per second on oilfields though.
