Associate retail FFOW with STEAM!

Here is how to associate your retail DVD copy of FFOW with our beloved STEAM.

1) Go to the Games tab and select "Add non-Steam game".

2) Select FFOW in the list.

3) Press "Add selected programs"

4) Now you should have an entry in "My Games" like this

When executing FFOW from this shortcut, you will have access to the STEAM community in game and your play status is tracked by STEAM.

Uh-Oh... Steam does not recognize the name of the game and your online status simply says In-non-Steam-game or some such. You can still access the steam community though.

OR....you can just wait a day and get it from Steam

That thing doesn't work properly, i've tried using it for a while actually. Next time you reboot or restart steam those shortcuts can be gone and you'll need to add them again. And if you like me have special resolution settings in that shortcut for bf, this steam "feature" quickly isn't used anymore when you need to add the shortcut at almost every boot. Just my experience though.
