FFoW Patch v1.0.1 Released

KAOS Studios has released FFoW Patch v1.0.1

Patch Notes:

• Holding the TAB key will display the scoreboard.
• Server browser will not show servers that are no longer running.
• "ResolveScenePosition" crash fixed.
• Motion blur overload when redeploying fixed.
• Autobalance - first person on a server can now switch teams.
• Player model is no longer visible when ascending steep inclines.
• Parental controls now work. (Windows Vista)
• Using ALT+TAB to minimize game will now function correctly.

As noted in the README file we're also preparing a dedicated server tool and have minimized the size of the server build.

The TG download is for US region I assume
they say in the release notes that you must download the patch for your own region

Yup.. The TG patch is the US region patch.

The Alt-Tab bug was pretty frustrating yesterday. I am very pleased that fixed that.

Installing.

*Patched it, and I go in game, and still tells me its "1.0.0", trying again.

I figured out what I did, I had setup "bioshock.exe" in my folder, so I could force AA, and make it work. I forgot to change that exe back to "FFOW" before I patched, doh! Everything works now. The little change they did to the score board was nice, now I can just hit tab, and not some lame toggle system.

Still did not address the issue with some of us with vista not being able to play, hopefully today they will get it sorted out for us.

I'm glad that I reloaded my gaming rig with XP a week ago in anticipation of this............

I'm glad I had the option of going Vista or XP. Have them both installed on my computer. Once those issues get fixed, I'd like to install and see if the performance is worse/better.

Anyone have significantly more video lag after this patch? My framerates got cut in half.

I think there something wrong with the new patch. Lots of servers in the browsers list but almost none of them seem to be allowing players to join.
