Edit: downloading now, so I'll let you know how it works.
It worked, but it takes 5 hours to download it from their slow servers.

I had to use more unconventional methods including the cd-key the site gave me, and a torrent site which I am a member of, to get it working faster. Still waiting for the proper thing to download.

Well....bit of an anti-climatic turn out.....but there were a couple of us on and we had some good games. Hopefully tomorrow night will be better. Good games this evening fellas.

Until our server shows in the server browser, I think the turnout will remain low like it was last night. 4 on 4 or so just is not all that fun to me. Later last night I went to a pub server for some basic weapons practice. I need to get a feel for the weapons, and I don't get that opportunity to train my reflexes on our server with so few people.

I will be pub raiding today. look for me on TS if you want to find me.

I kind of enjoy the small team action, but it will be nice once the server is full of the "TG" like players.

Seems like it's gonna be a hard game to actually apply any real squad tactics in. Usually the enemy is right up your face the moment you spawn.

It's fun though, a very welcome change from the slow pace of PR.

    I dunno Thyreus,

Yea there might not be intricate strike and flanking maneuvers, but having dedicated squads for CP's, and coordinating large assaults is definatley possible.

It all depends on how much communication there is.

This is not at all my experience playing the game. With the right squad, spawning into a hot zone will not happen all that frequently. I know the squads I have played in and led all had great squad level tactics. Especially at the close quarters infantry level.

Yeah after having played a bit more I guess you could have some tactics going, especially if you play on a server with something like 20-40 people on it, and some maps are more fit than others.

I had been playing a 64 slot server on street just before, and that was a pretty chaotic experience.

Sorry gang, I've been dying to join you but I've had the flu all week and it's just kicking my butt. Last night I fell asleep at 9:30

yeah, above say 50 players things can get a little nuts on some maps. streets in particular can get nasty.
