    Patch update

Sorry we couldnt give you an exact date for the next patch, we wanted to make sure that we test it properly so we dont introduce new issues.

We are about a week away from releasing 1.02 which includes many fixes and we are already at work on 1.03 where we plan to have an overhaul to the server browser to fix many complaints.

Some of these fixes will be in 1.02, such as not being able to join some servers, filters always working properly, player count sorting etc. However a bigger update on the browser will be in 1.03.

With 1.02, we are also releasing a dedicated server build and a frontend to host your own servers without CD keys.

    Thanks for your patience,

    Frank

Is this the patch that includes VOIP? If it is I might finally pick this game up once the patch goes through. The only thing stopping me from getting this game is lack of VOIP and to a slightly lesser degree the rumours of a couple of bugs that really hinder gameplay. (i.e server browser problems and such)

This is speculation, But no. This patch seems focused on fixing some basic gameplay features that are very broken.

Unfortunately sc1ence is right. It has also been mentioned previously that patch 1.0.3 is specific to punkbuster integration and will not include VOIP either.

and still we fly a plane without joystick support. i really miss being able to set my idle with throttle. also screws with my helo experience since i normally set my min idle to 8% so i can peek over hills.

    Re: Patch update

Just finished playing a few minutes ago. I wasn't really having any problems before that were preventing me from playing, but things did seem to play a bit smoother after installing the patch. And thankfully, it appears the server browser doesn't jump around every 3 seconds. If they will just get VOIP integrated I think this game has lots of TG potential. Problem is every day that goes by without it results in more players leaving.

You're right there. This is a perfect example of a game released 6 months to early. Such a shame I really enjoy FFOW but there are less and less people playing this in Australasia by the day.

Amen to that. The similarities to ET:QW are amazing and kind of sad all at the same time. Now having said that, I'll be in game with you guys once they get VOIP integrated.
