Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
Ah,
been waiting for a patch for this. Doesn't look like anything ground breaking though - jsut some minor stuff.
Guess the good stuff will come later.

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
Please let me know if you were one of those that had the every 5 second stutter, and the eventual crash...
I've since un-installed this piece of crap, but would still like to get in and test it out if those major problems were fixed.
Thx you.Magnum

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
That's a bit harsh don't you think? Is the game perfect..nope. Are they wroking on fixing it...yep. Cut them some slack as they are trying really hard to perfect this game. The game can be a blast once you are in game and in no way (IMO) is it what you have described.
You are entitled to your opinion though...

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
why should I leave a 8 GB game installed that won't run for more then 5 mins? How is that harsh? Shouldn't games be released at least in working order... and not just me, there was many who had the same problem, hence me asking if those problems have been solved... if you didn't have those problems you have no clue what I'm talking about.

Did you turn down the foliage setting? That was the major cause of most people's graphic stuttering and disconnects. Although apparently the new nVidia drivers fix this.

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
Just because the game won't run on your system doesn't justify labeling it a "piece of crap". Maybe the issue is on your end? I've been running it with all settings maxed since it's release and I have not had any crash issues. Admittedly the browser needs work but once VOIP and PB get implemented this game will be one of the best out there.

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
lol, you people...sometimes... yes it's a piece of crap if I have to lower or turn off foliage...anyone with any tactical mindset knows how important foliage is in a tactical shooter... yes it's a piece of crap if it runs for 5 mins then crashes/locks up... no it is just not my system when it is widely reported...
to buy a game, have it not work...then wait almost a month for a patch...ya thats crap...
to buy the same game for the Xbox 360, since the PC version won't work, then to have a 50 cal sniper rifle hit a badguy, and watch him get back up, ya thats crap... to have to empty 30 rounds of 5.56 round ammo into a virtual bad guy for him to die, ya thats crap... to have tanks and vehicles handle...well like crap, ya thats crap...
to have people like you tell me I'm wrong in my opinion, and my simple question of "did it fix this well known problem"... is crap... and the more and more time i spend with this new TG, the more crap i see...
got it, get it.
now could someone with the same, widely reported problem advise if the patch fixed those issues?
thank you.Last edited by jb4; 04-02-2008 at 11:45 AM. Reason: let's stay in discussion mode

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
Maybe you should have returned the game if you thought so lowly of it. Some of us "here" play with the developers and have let them know our displeasure with many of the "glitches".
Our comments are not stupid or worthless...geez man lately I think you need to eat a bran muffin everyday.
This is beginning to turn into a flame war..."over a game". You slammed the game in your first post and continue to do so. I have stated that is your right..so keep on keeping on, if that is what makes you so wonderfully happy....
I will not reply any more...have fun Magnum...enjoy your crusade.Last edited by jb4; 04-02-2008 at 11:45 AM. Reason: updated quote from above

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
First, I didn't see anyone tell you that you were wrong, we said your criticism was overly harsh and that others weren't having the same problems.
Second, anytime you try to equate anything to do with realism and an Xbox360 your credibility suffers.
Third,
Your tone, your attitude and the very nature of your post doesn't encourage anyone to try and help you.
If you can't get it to work I think you should uninstall it. Frankly I think the community would be better off without you.Last edited by jb4; 04-02-2008 at 11:47 AM. Reason: updated quote from above

Re: FFoW PC Patch 1.0.2 Released
TG Bear... lol... Tactical Games on Xbox 360 can be just as tactical and teamwork orientated as a PC game... and you got working, built in comms... and the fact that pulling a "trigger" is more realistic then clicking a mouse when it comes to trigger pull... And I stopped being a active part of Tactical Gamer, when the majority moved this community to "Action Gamer", lol... but I keep hanging out hoping for a rebirth of true tactical gamer gameplay... but every new game makes it slide further and further away...
That said, I never meant to derail this thread or start a flame war... This thread is about the just released patch, I simply asked in my maybe to blunt and colorful way, if the problem, reported by IGN as 23% of PC owners in a past article, was ever fixed.
IMO, paying over 4k for a state of the art PC and having to lower game settings due to tech issues of the game/drivers...is unacceptable, and i would like to know if it was fixed in the patch, so I can really see more then 5 mins of this game, and form a more educated opinion.Last edited by jb4; 04-02-2008 at 11:48 AM.
