Yes you can, that is currently a new still developing feature. The only game right now I know you can do that on is Shadowrun. But it will only get better

Re: Can players on 360 play against players on the PC???

The only problem is people on the PC have to subscribe to Games For Windows Live which is stupid for things that can easily be implemented on a PC for free (like VOIP and server browsers, etc). Plus the mouse+keyboard versus the controller makes it assuredly easy for the PC player to completely dominate the 360 user. It's like paying a subscription to play on easy mode.

I hope this "feature" doesn't catch on and dies with Shadowrun.

I would not be so sure of that. Plus, we have the advantage with vehicles =)

Not true, If someone on a PC wants to use a controller they can .... well at least after it is programed in. Controlers will likely come before VOIP saddly.

The thing is, with a mouse, its more sensitive, but you can't get as thourough scan as with a controller. Also, what is good about a keyboard, is that you can map all you keys. Controllers are nice on the other hand because all you keys you need are convineant. If PC fought the 360. PC might win, but that is because millions play WoW and Runescape... lol

Just watch game ownage movies made on the PC, and then on the XBOX 360. There is a noticable difference in the speed and overall lethality of the playing environment. PC gamers would probably have quite an edge on most fps shooters. BTW, is there any GOOD pc gamer who defends the consoles when it comes to control on fps games?

HALO would probably win on Xbox as opposed to PC, but HALOs control scheme very specifically made excellent use of the console controller, embracing it instead of trying to work around it. Aside from that, in the land of putting your crosshairs on something and making it dead, the man with the Boomslang mouse is king.

With all other things being equal I'm not sure many would argue this statement unless they had never used a mouse and keyboard.

There's of course a lot to be said about the skill levels of the players involved and how familiar they are with their relevant controllers. An excellent FPS player who has mastered the gamepad is still likely to beat most keyboard and mouse users. And as we at TG are well aware of, FPS games aren't just about aiming and firing. Positioning, squad play, situational awareness, map knowledge, etc. are all things that the controller has no impact on.
