Re: 1.1.0 Patch
How could OFP2 possibly swamp this? The two game styles are completely different. I'd expect OFP2 to draw away PR and ArmA players.
Now having said that...my bigger concern would be just competition for game time in general. We saw what happened with ET:QW and even BF2 FH2. People just don't have a lot of tolerance when there are so many other good titles to play. My fear would be that by the time KAOS gets Frontlines sorted out, there just isn't going to be many in the TG community willing to give it another go.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
As far as I know yes to both though information is a bit hard to come by OFP1 had both of those in a differnet kind of way. Also vehicles like 2142 & heavily modable like the first one ... least if you go by the information thats been relesed.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
OFP2 being a tactical shooter is in the air still. I have yet to see anything showing that it will be as realistic as OFP and ArmA.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
ARMA 2... we should hope. Problem is that it will be released for the platform monkeys, too (no offence to monkeys intended). I just can't see a complex simulation like ARMA being pulled off effectively on a box. A good shooter, absolutely... but a tactical simulation... I can't see it.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
OFP2 is useing different weights of bullets, heavier ones will have more drop lighter ones will do less damage just like in real life. Of course there is none of those other games even haveing bullet drop (that I know of) nor any game made ever that I can think of with the exception of tank rounds and similar.
Theres a lot that still needs to be reveled but from what I have read on it already and the fact that it is based off OFP 1 it makeing me think this is gona be a real winner.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
Wow, this shows that releasing a game 6 months too early can deliver it DOA as the group interested will move on to the latest and you will never get a critical mass of support that keeps this game viable.
Very disappointedly yours, S|TG-12th| SHINER

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
I agree as well, do it right, or don't do it at all. I've been playing a bit here and there, but get really frustrated when I can't yell at people... errr I mean coordinate some teamwork. Anyone who bought this game is watching this next patch as the last hope before they give up on it. VOIP Now! or don't even bother.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
I bought this game assuming the release PC version would be as good as the 360 demo. i was wrong. Simple things that worked great in the 360 demo are still not part of the PC release. This game has a lot of potential too.
