Re: 1.1.0 Patch
Patch 1.1.0 is just a rename for 1.0.3. They felt that it has become large enough to warrant a version change rather than a simple revision level. They also say that it is already in testing.
Patch and update news can always be found here:

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
If this patch releases without VOIP or at least a really good explanation of why not (the ingame VOIP will never work on the PC and it requires a complete recode... or something like that) I fear that it will spell the end of FFOW.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
At least if they fixed the inverted vehicle controls, I can play somewhat again.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
How can they expect to get any community support of they fail to implement VOIP.... NOW. Not in a patch or two. Forget the whole thing if it has no VOIP.... NOW. Not later, not next patch... NOW.
KAOS built a mod for a game (BF1942-Desert Combat) and apparently they thougt that qualified them to make a game from scratch. To this point I do not believe they are. FFOW is a great idea that has been hobbled by flawed execution. This game released with AAA title status and a AAA price but has been nothing less than a B product with a lot of potential. Their reputation is at stake with the product and curently both lie in shambles.
KAOS, do not release a partial patch. Put the resources necessary in to finish what has been started, restore some of the credibility that was lost. If that can't be done, don't waste the effort. The gaming public will not readopt the game and your work will be for nothing.
I feel bad for writing such a scathing post but it comes down to this... do it right or don't do it at all. Period.

Re: 1.1.0 Patch
I gota agree with you lawn, I was a major fan of THQ befoer I got this I had 3 games and gotten one since (the DoW saga) from playing that game seris I had a lot of faith in anything that has the THQ name on it, I was saddly mistaken I would like to see them bring it back up to snuff but it looks like VOIP is a long way away, it's only 6-7 months till codemasters relese of OFP2 that has the potential to swamp this & 2142 IMHO. If front lines is gona stick on PC it needs to make some major inroads and soon.
