The last 3 or so BF2 patches have been in the order of 300-600 megs each, and only one of them included a new map (which is where this one gains so much of it's weight. Road to Jalalabad map alone weighs in at around 300 megs..) If you think thats bad, you should see the hassle you have to go through to install a non GOTY/Gold edition Company of Heroes..

This patch includes a number of bug fixes as well as game tweaks and balances.
or simply, around 30+ patches and over 2gb worth of downloads. for an RTS game. mostly balance changes.
