Full game install gone wrong. WHY?? NOOOO!!!!

Here is a message that I get on game start. I have no idea what program it is referring to and cannot find anything on my computer that resembles it. I will try a clean install. WHYYYYYYYYYY????? NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Another great reason to go with the Steam version.

The most interesting thing about this is that I have never installed Game Jackal or anything like it to my knowledge. I did a full, clean installation of my CPU 2 months ago. There must be another program that is acting similar to it. I will have to hunt around to see or wait for their support analysis to respond. I just did a second install and the same thing.

You don't have Alcohol 120% or Daemon Tools installed? Do you have any software that emulates a DVD drive to mount an ISO image? Those are the culprits.

jb i am having the same problem i have been back to my store to swap copys to see if it was just a disc but nothing
i can't find which program is doing anything for this i don't have much on this comp and nothing else is really running right now.

Hmmmm. Thanks for that info, bummer for us for now but it may be enough of a problem for some people to get fast attention. I am pretty cautious about working in the registry as suggested in that one Kaos forum post. I will wait and see what happens tomorrow. Hopefully we will get things going with an easy fix. Just one of those things. We will forget all about it after we play our first few rounds I am sure.
