I'm curious as to whether anyone else is experiencing this and it would almost seem to be something with the master severs or something...
Yesterday I connected to a server around 5:30PM and everything was fine. Played a bit and then had to get other things done. Tried to join a server around 10:30PM and ever since then, I can see and select a server with a ping (the xxx appear to be invalid sessions) but when I click Launch all I get is a beep and nothing else happens. No errors, nothing, just it doesn't do anything besides beep.
I've seen a couple of threads on the FFoW community forums that seem similar but it doesn't seems like there are enough reports of it for it to be a master server thing, but since I installed the 1.01 patch (which played fine) I haven't installed the hot patch (no need to since everything was working fine) so nothing changed between 5:30PM yesterday and now.
I have noticed some oddities
I estimate you cannot connect if another player is joining at that exact moment or its end of map, but I do get a message saying something like 'gaming session no longer available', I do always get some feedback, never just a beep
Definitely something on their side because I just tried again and was able to connect to a server. Just a heads up if anyone else encounters this, it's not you.
I had this happening yesterday at about 5PM EST. It was similar to what would happen with the beta. I restarted my game a few times and it worked fine after that.
It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
Things usually unfold faster than...
