Re: "TG Friends" gamertag
Neither of those two "Tactical*Gamer" groups have anything to do with us. Do we still need to create a new account or is that all set now? It sounds like its all set.

Re: "TG Friends" gamertag
@ HealthyGarrett
Create a group called "Tactical Gamer XBox" and then this can be a group for the whole of TG and not just FFOW and link it to the email you have already created. The reason for this is so people can move between games freely and still find TG people to play with Questions on accepting requests; How is the group managed, is it a matter of going into the hotmail account daily and acceted requests ? Do you need an xbox to manage the group ? Overall, what's the exact procedure ? Questions on benefits If somebody logs on for a few hours gaming, can they they see through the TG group who is on ? Can they see what games people are playing ? Can they even see what server they are on and server details like ping, map, no. of players If they can just see names of who's on, do then then go into chat rooms that users create ? If its jst names, can you have text communication with someone who is in game and ask them what server they are on ? Overall whats the practical day to day benefit of using the group ? Assuming there is good benefit then we can advertise this new user friendly feature in this forum and the xbox forum @ Apophis XBox account is linked to a hotmail account. If checking the hotmail and approving the requests to join doesnt require an xbox then you could have a thread in the admins roundtable and take turns managing the account, much like admins take turns with ribbons behind the scene work

Re: "TG Friends" gamertag
Answers on accepting request
-You may never have to check the email account, it's just required when you register. -You do not need an xbox to manage this account. -Go to xboxlive.com, sign in, type in the email and password, this will pull up the account. You can read message, but because it's a Silver account you can not respond back. You can also accept and send out friend request. Answers on benefits -Yes they can use use this account and look at it's friends list and find out who's online playing which game like you could with your own friends list. -You can tell which map they are playing on, but not server, ping, etc. -You can send anybody a private chat invite on your friends list and the friends list of the TG account. -You can send text messages or voice messages to anyone. I recommend text messages. Keep in mind that the actual TG account is a Silver account. The only thing it's good for is using it's friends list and finding fellow TGs or friends of TG. |

Re: "TG Friends" gamertag
You can still send out mass messages to all TG members from the xbox itself through the silver TG account. Plus, you can use its motto/bio space as a board for announcements, information, dates etc.
Its most important function though is keeping track of all the TG members so that its easy to see who is online and send chat invites, game invites, messages, etc. |

Re: "TG Friends" gamertag
I have just created an account for this purpose since there seems to be a bit of confusion.
The GamerTag is "TacticalGamerXB".

Re: "TG Friends" gamertag
I was supposed to get e-mail notifications, which I have not seen. I'll go verify the settings and if need be manually check the account on a regular basis to make sure the friend requests get processed.
