Asch, try deleting your profile directory under 'my docs\my games\men of war\profiles'

Just remove the directory, it may be named 'player', then re-launch the game..

Just tried that... the game seems to get a little further before crashing. Now instead of a black screen of death or the error I mentioned above... the game starts going through the opening credits and during (or right after) it does the count-down.... the game freezes and I have to cold boot.

Callaway, look online for the mod Dynamic Campaign Generator. You can choose the troops you want, and then it generates a random campaign that you can fight. Beware though, the AI likes to cheat . It decided to face me against a Tiger, a Panther, a StuG IV, and a couple of Pnzr IV's. And all I had was infantry.
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.

Still the best game no one is playing. I've given up trying to get games lately... It seems everyone has 200+ ping, doesn't speak English, and has their settings turned up too much for their PC.

I still have the game! But as you can see from my earlier posts I was never able to get it to run on Vista x64.
