Re: SWAT 4: Special Weapons and Tactics
I would happily bring SWAT 4 back! And I would happily support it being run like old-school TG. The tough part with games like this is finding a GO that can commit the time to it and at the same time understands how to deal with problem players, educate them, or remove them from the game without getting overly frustrated and throwing in the towel.
TG has grown but we still have a lot of hardcore tactical players. Expectations for a game like this need to be laid down and enforced but without taking it all personally.
If you're interested, let me know!

Re: SWAT 4: Special Weapons and Tactics
Along with Magnum... I came here looking for basically what you are describing in your posts. I understand that you'll always have bandwagon games (which are most of the newest games on the field). The masses will always flock to the best looking new game and play it. But I've always stayed true to the real tactical games. I got into BF2 but just couldn't finish it out. I got into Crysis, but it just wasn't for me. But I always go back to the games like Raven Shield, SWAT 4, and a few others because of the quality of tactical play potential. Of course like I mentioned a page back... the community can definitely change the direction of the game (like it did at the time I played SWAT 4 heavily). But as long as you have a decent core group you can count on, you'll come out on top.
Wow long paragraph. Anyhow, shoot me a message Toshido, or PM me. I'll gladly jump in-game with you and at least do some co-op with you."They laugh at the law... but they don't laugh at me."
