Re: Rainbow Six Vegas for the PC
Pretty good review, thumbs up!
I picked the game up yesterday on Direct2Drive, and so far have had a blast with it. I went ahead and dumbed my graphics down a bit (because I'm too lazy to troubleshoot my system right now) and it still looks gorgeous. The game play is very intuitive and fulfilling, though like you, I wish that we had a lean function and a save-anywhere feature. I'm okay with the recovery system in the game... I'm playing SF, after all, and SF is supposed to be tought, right? If the bullet doesn't kill you, stick some wadding in the hole, man up, and soldier on, right? Actually, my acceptance of the system probably has more to do with the fact that I'm not fantastic at FPS, even though they're my favorite types of games. So whatever lets me stick around and enjoy the game more, I'm all for. I would like to see a regular forum for the various (good) R6 games start up. If I could find some willing conspirators and had the time, I might even be convinced to reinstall Raven Shield back on my system. Again, great review.. kudos! |
