Yanks and Limeys arguing about spelling is about as productive as Yanks and Frogs arguing about eating habits.

YOU ALL LOSE; JUST STOP. If you're so desperate to beat up someone, attack the Leprechauns or something.

Gah D finds this very offensive... anyway we all know you'd lose (and you'd have shins to speak of what so ever). About the CV most IRISH employers will take into account a slightly poorly written CV given that English is not the applicants native language (although several sadistic ones would crucify the misspelling of colour).

Anyone know how we ended up with the split over so many spellings? The US seems fairly consistent within itself. What about between other parts of the Empire? Do Canada and Australia follow the UK's spelling?

All I can say is that the interwebs officially uses "Center" and "Color" in it's various codes. As we all know, the interwebs never lies, therefore, you all must bow to the "basardized american" spelling of such words.

There's an "official" interweb?!

(Was anyone else amused by the cockeyed view of the Internet on South Park last week? I'll bet that's the view a lot of people have of how it works.)
