Inconceivable!

Futurama on the other hand, as well as the Simpsons has a whole story written out, that at a glance actually goes somewhere and manages to have all their jokes written into the script. When's the last time they had a flashback? I remember two in all the episodes I've seen. One it pertained to the story and wasn't a stupid one joke tangent, and the other time they were making fun of Family Guy. Futurama has a lot of geeky jokes. You just need to know this stuff. You need to be able to decipher Binary into ASCII to get what Benders apartment number is. You need to actually know some intelligent subjects. Family guy has everyone barf repeatedly and thinks that's funny. Sorry i find that a bit disturbing that our nation watches that crap and enjoys it. Granted some of those jokes relating to shows and movies are the best. I love the A-Team episode, and that is beyond my generation, but sadly most of that gets wasted on the general population...

Re: Futurama is back!
I've been wondering that myself! I didn't get into it until I got the DVD set, lets face it it got the worst block of television history. They have a copy of the first season on the space station. 3 of the characters were used as extras in Halo and so much more.
Firefly is such a staple of pop culture, the fact that it isn't being resurrected is a stupid move on every major network, including cable and satellite.
