For aviation buffs
Here's a site full of some amazing photos taken at the Fleet Week Air Show in San Francisco.
Just found the site linked from Fark.com, but these photographs are incredible, particularly the ones from the Blue Angels. http://home.comcast.net/~bzee1a/ |

Re: For aviation buffs
Sweet pictures! That guy's camera must have one heck of a shutter speed. There's no way my camera could ever get shots like those. Breathtaking!

Great find!! I have always wanted to go to fleet week in the bay, one of the best shows of the year.

Re: For aviation buffs
I remember back in the early 80's, I worked in The City and the Blue Angels used to practice the week before right overhead. I'd go up to the roof at lunchtime and enjoy the show, even when I wouldn't be able to go down to the airfield later in the week to see the "real" show.
But the noise scared a lot of people (they thought there were being invaded) so the Angels started practicing over the Bay. This worked to my advantage, as my job is now on the other side of the Bay, and one end of their practice run is right over the park on the peninsula near where I work. |

Re: For aviation buffs
I live in "The City" (San francisco) as we call it and its always a fun week of practice with the jets roaring overhead. My cat really gets mental every fleet week.
