Is this somehow related to Moore's Law?

Re: We broke 20,000 members!

I wonder what the percentage of people who just join to post why they have been kicked or banned from X server.

I'm going to say somewhere above 70%.

Re: We broke 20,000 members!

Sure TG has a lot of lurkers/non active members, but so to all the other forums everywhere else.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's the quality, not the quantity.

If TG stays the same, or continues to get better in terms of community quality (of which we know I contribute to negatively) it will continue to be a beacon of hope in the sea of smacktardiness and douchebaggery that is general online gaming.

Re: We broke 20,000 members!

40k total members in 1 year? that seems astronomical, but if anyone can do it, its TG =D

i wonder, are there any resources are around for me to make a line graph showing the growth of the community? ie. how many members were there on the first of every month?

Re: We broke 20,000 members!

With '08 being an even bigger year for gaming than '07, I fully expect TG to make huge gains... especially with the growth of TG console gaming and TG MMO play. '08 will be the biggest MMO year in a long time with (potbs, aoc, war, sto, CoS, and on and on).

As for the FPS genre, there's some really good stuff on the horizon as well utilizing these newer more optimized game engines. A lot of old TG-goodies will be rehashed using newer tech.

RTS-wise I cant wait for Clancy's "Endwar."

Re: We broke 20,000 members!

its not my best work, but I only spent about 5 min on the spreadsheet part of it =P and 1 hr 'gathering' information
pretty graph : it has a bit of an exponential curve to it, (i.e. it gets steeper and steeper) so here is visual proof that as apo stated above, 40k is easily attainable by next year, i think it might even be closer to 45k

and the figures if u wanna double check : http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...h/IMG_0676.jpg
