Well whats that line she said, when they were watching the other terminator's memory? They basically have "real parts" is what I got from it. I can tell John is getting attached to her though. Then he wakes up and realizes its still a machine.

Humans are machines, too, and the show does well at acknowledging that in Sarah's commentary. Humans have evolved a lot of mechanisms and behaviors that Skynet lacks, because it never needed them. Skynet created humanoid agents to serve specific needs, and the way those agents act is consistent with their design constraints.
When looking at Cameron as a potential romantic interest, think not "machine", but "alien" and "non-mammal".
