Enlisting Sat 1/26/08
Tomorrow I'll be going through MEPS for the second time, except I'll be taking the ASVAB and enlisting into the Army Reserves. After failing to get into Marine Corps OCS in College, I've decided that if I have to enlist to serve my country, then I'm going to enlist.
Wish me luck, next time I post I should be in the Army Now! Posting from the free access at the hotel they put me up in.
I feel like I'm babysitting all these 17 and 18 year olds that are going to MEPS in the morning with me.

Re: Enlisting Sat 1/25/08
Thanks for serving my brother! To tell you the truth, MEPS was the worst part of my military life. It really was annoying. And then there's basic which can be hard, but can be fun. It is what you and your division make it out to be. In hindsight, it was one of the most positive experiences of my life. You're probably doing OCS, though, which I hear is much more challenging than enlisted basic. Tech school was a blast for me. And then my job itself was amazing. The main thing to remember is that it just keeps getting better and better. MEPS does suck, though. Getting probed in every possible orifice by Col Gorilla hands.

Thanks for the kind words! MEPS did indeed suck. 15 hours of hell, processing with 92 other recruits at Chicago MEPS.
ASVAB score: 95!
